Notice is hereby given that CORNERSTONE MINING, LLC, 150 COURTHOUSE ROAD, SUITE 302, PRINCETON, WV 24740 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the Surface disturbance of approximately 742.16 acres in order to Bond within 100' of County Route 11/1, and operate a contour, surface, auger, highwall mine in the Pocahontas No. 6 and Pocahontas No. 7, Pocahontas No. 8, Pocahontas No. 9 seam of coal.
The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of Pinnacle Creek of the Guyandotte River, Unnamed Tributaries of Left Hand Fork of Widemouth Creek of the Bluestone River of OHIO RV and is located 2.8 miles, Northwest of Matoaka in Rock and Barkers Ridge District of Mercer and Wyoming County, Longitude 81˚ 17' 28†and Latitude 37˚ 25' 55†.
