Request for Proposal Spring 2026 Paving
City of Bluefield, WV
The City of Bluefield, West Virginia is seeking responses to this Request for Proposals from interested parties for asphalt paving within the limits of the City of Bluefield, West Virginia. Pavements shall be as detailed below. Curbing shall be replaced where current curbing will be deemed ineffective and additional curbing may be necessary during construction, as directed by City of Bluefield personnel. Paving quantities may be adjusted to fit budgetary needs after bids are accepted. Additional details and mini-maps can be provided, via email, on the Citys website, and upon request.

Proposal Requirements:
• A list of similar projects and references
• Scope or outline of work and time frame for completion
• Provide pricing for each street individually, as well as price per ton.
• Proposed total price for all paving.

ALL PROPOSALS MUST BE SEALED AND CLEARLY MARKED CITY OF BLUEFIELD SPRING 2026 PAVING. PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 3:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME, APRIL 15, 2026, AND SEALED BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 11:00 A.M. ON APRIL 16, 2026.

Faxed or emailed proposals cannot be accepted.

The City of Bluefield will afford full opportunity for minority business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race,
creed, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin in the contract award. The City of Bluefield reserves the right to contract with one firm (lowest responsible bidder) or the entire project or more than one firm for various components of the project, as the City deems to be in its best interest.
