CITY OF WELCH REQUEST FOR BIDS

The City of Welch hereby invites sealed bids for replacement of HVAC units (4) at the Pocahontas Theatre located at 60 McDowell Street, Welch, WV 24801.

Specifications for the project are as follows:

•One (1) Trane 15.0 Ton Gas/Electric RTU with fresh air bypass, dry bulb downflow economizer, and discharge air sensor tube kit
•Two (2) Trane 12.5 Ton Gas/Electric RTU (including curb adapters) with fresh air bypass, dry bulb downflow economizer, and discharge air sensor tube kit
•One (1) Trane 25.0 Ton Gas/Electric RTU with fresh air bypass, dry bulb downflow economizer, and discharge air sensor tube kit
•Labor costs to install the replacement of the HVAC units (4)

All interested and qualified vendors are invited to submit their sealed bids to the City Clerk's Office no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026. Bids received after this time will not be considered.

Bids must be clearly marked "Bid for Pocahontas Theatre HVAC Replacement" and should include the vendor's name, address, contact person, and phone number.

The City of Welch reserves the right to reject all bids and solicit new bids on the project pursuant to West Virginia Code § 5-22-1(e).

Pursuant to West Virginia Code § 5-22-2(a), the City of Welch shall publicly open received bids to be read aloud 3:00 p.m on Monday, April 27, 2026

5) The Trustee shall be under no duty to cause any existing tenant or person occupying the property to vacate said property, and any personal property and/or belongings remaining at the property after the foreclosure sale will be deemed to constitute ABANDONED PROPERTY AND WILL BE DISPOSED OF ACCORDINGLY.

6) The total purchase price is payable to the Trustee within thirty (30) days of the date of sale, with ten (10%) of the total purchase price payable to the Trustee at sale.
