Notice is hereby given that CORNERSTONE MINING, LLC, 150 COURTHOUSE ROAD, SUITE 302,
PRINCETON, WV 24740 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 649.69 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S300315 to operate a haulroad, bond within 100' of County Route 11/1, and operate a contour, surface, auger, highwall mine. Temporary close and update County Route 11/1. in the Pocahontas No. 6, Pocahontas No. 7, Pocahontas No. 8, and Pocahontas No. 9 seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of Lefthand Fork of Widemouth Creek of the Bluestone River of the New River of the Upper Kanawha River, Unnamed Tributaries of/ and Pinnacle Creek of the Upper Guyandotte River of Ohio River and is located 2.8 miles, Northwest of Mataoka in Rock Barkers Ridge District of Mercer Wyoming County, Longitude 81o 17' 28" and Latitude 37o 25' 55" (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
